Pakistan Super League(PSL) is a men’s Professional T20 cricket league, endorsed by the Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB), no matter hockey is the national game of Pakistan but the level of endorsement cricket get in every region of Pakistan is immaculate. The league was founded in Lahore on 8 September 2015 and presently comprises 06 team after getting a new entry in PSL 2017 of Multan Sultan team. Instead of keeping or operating as an association of independently owned teams, the Pakistan Super league is a single entity in which each franchise is owned and controlled by Team investors. The commercial rights to the initial franchises were sold for US$93 million for a span of 10 years in December 2015.

The PSL season runs through the month of February till start of march, with each team playing ten matches in double round robin format; the top four team among the 6 teams having the best record qualify for the Playoffs and culminates this round is knock out round do and die situation for the teams in the championship game, the PSL Cup Final. The league’s head offices are directed out of the Pakistan Cricket Board head office in Lahore. Due to the security reasons, the first season was played entirely in the United Arab Emirates. The First season champs were Islamabad United and the Peshawar Zalmi were the 2017 PSL Champions, defeated Quetta Gladiators in Lahore on 5 March 2017 in both season runner-up team was Quetta Gladiators PSL has so much to offer Fans all around the world can’t wait for PSL season 3.
